The 3M Bell Tent Protection Bundle pairs your 3m Bell Tent Cover with a Groundsheet Protector. These are the two layers that take the most weather and wear on every trip.

The cover sits over your tent and shields the canvas from sun fade, dirt, bird mess, and the worst of the rain. The groundsheet protector goes underneath, taking the brunt of damp ground and rough pitches so your built-in groundsheet stays cleaner and lasts longer.

Pick Beige for the classic neutral canvas look, or Silver/Black for the reflective finish that helps with temperature management in strong sun and changeable weather.

You'll receive one 3m Bell Tent Cover in your chosen colour, plus one Groundsheet Protector. Bought separately, the two come to £138. The bundle saves you £30.

A larger groundsheet protector slips under a smaller tent without issue. The excess fabric folds in beneath the floor, out of sight, and the protector still does its job catching wear, damp, and ground rot. The cover is sized to the tent, but the groundsheet is the flexible piece.

Why protect

Four ways an unprotected tent shortens its life.

UV degradation

Sun bleaches canvas.

UV breaks down cotton fibres and fades pigments. Six summers of full sun can cut tensile strength by a third.

Rain & damp

Wet canvas grows mould.

Storage with even a little moisture is how most tents die. A breathable cover lets canvas dry, a tarp doesn't.

Soil & mud

Ground rots groundsheets.

Wet grass, mud and stones grind through the integrated PVC base in a few seasons. The protector takes the hits.

Do I really need a protection bundle?

Honestly, you can pitch a bell tent without one. But if you're using it more than a handful of times, the cover and groundsheet are the difference between a tent that lasts three good summers and one that's still going in ten years. Most of our long-term customers wish they'd bought the bundle from day one.

What's the difference between the groundsheet protector and the PVC floor that's already sewn into my tent?

 Your tent's built-in PVC floor keeps you dry. The groundsheet protector sits underneath that floor, taking the wear that would otherwise grind into the PVC. Stones, twigs, wet soil, abrasion. It's a sacrificial layer, much cheaper to replace than a whole tent.

 Won't a tarp do the same job as the cover?

A tarp keeps water off but traps moisture against the canvas. Bell tents need to breathe in storage or they grow mould from inside. Our cover is breathable Oxford polyester with a roof vent. Sheds rain like a tarp, but lets the canvas dry out.

Can I use a larger bundle on a smaller tent?

The groundsheet, yes. The extra fabric folds in beneath the tent floor, the centre grommet still aligns with your pole hole, and it does its job. The cover is tailored to the tent diameter so it's best to match the size, but a slightly oversized cover still cinches down with the drawstring. Plenty of customers buy a 4m bundle for a 3m tent if they're planning to size up later.

How long does setup take?

About thirty seconds extra. Lay the groundsheet flat where you'll pitch, then put the tent on top as normal. The cover only comes out for storage, after the tent is dry.
